Where to Buy the GeForce RTX 4090 at MSRP (Updated)
The GeForce RTX 4090 GPU is still a difficult card to find without a big price markup, even more difficult compared to the RTX 4080. There’s a good reason for it, though. Despite the considerably higher price tag, the RTX 4090 is a beast of a card that dominates every other GPU out there, including the 4080. Fortunately, a few major vendors including Amazon, Newegg, and Best Buy finally have a few specific models available at or close to MSRP. Some models have an MSRP above $1599 because they are overclocked out of the box.

The GeForce RTX 4090’s performance is unbeatable
The RTX 4090 is far and away the most powerful video card you can get right now. No other GPU, either from NVIDIA or from AMD, comes close. As a reference, the RTX 4090 is about 110% faster at 4K gaming than the already impressive RTX 3080. It’s about 60% faster than the previous king, the RTX 3090 Ti. That could very well be the single biggest performance upgrade within a single generational gap for the GeForce line of cards. If you’re still not convinced, check out our RTX 4090 FE review.
But is the GeForce RTX 4090 worth it?
If you game in 4K and want the maximum performance even with every setting on “Ultra” and ray-tracing on, or high resolution VR, then yes, I’d say it is worth it. If you’re gaming at 1080p, then it most certainly is not. It’s also a good card for graphic and rendering stations, because it comes with 24GB of VRAM, compared to the RTX 4080’s 16GB.
